My Story
A little bit about me
My name is Lexy and I’m the proud owner of Emerald Exotics! I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, having owned many species over the years. I have 5 dogs, fish, Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, bearded dragons, and Chameleons! my home is essentially a zoo and I wouldn’t change it for the world 💚
My lifelong dream has always been to establish my own business. I wanted to combine two things I love; animals and people. What motivated me to start the business was a life-changing spinal injury I sustained in 2023. This injury was the final push I needed to pursue my dreams instead of waiting for opportunities to come my way.
I’ve always been driven by the desire to make a difference in the world. I’ve wanted to be apart of an ethical standard people look up to, in an otherwise lacking world. I’ve witnessed firsthand the suffering of countless animals due to the spread of misinformation and neglect, which has fueled my determination to help bring about a change for the better.
Starting this business has rekindled a part of myself that I lost when I got injured, and it has given me a sense of purpose. I can’t wait to share the joys of owning reptiles with you all!
